After 30 years in construction and being a contractor for 12 years, I decided it was time for a change. My wife and I prayed for something that we could do that utilized my passion for cooking and my love for people to offer real wood smoked BBQ to everyone. Big Ed’s Buzzard BBQ opened its business in January of 2009 and since then we have seen annual growth every year. We started doing street fairs, festivals and private catering for companies.

Some of our clients include Kaiser Permanente, San Francisco Giants, San Jose Earthquakes, San Jose Sharks, Intel, Oracle, Google, and several other companies throughout the greater Bay Area. In 2013 we opened our first restaurant in Santa Clara, California and even though it’s located in an industrial park with no signage out front, we have steadily grown every year.

In 2014 we expanded with a mobile bbq food truck and use it for private parties and work with Off The Grid as well as Moveable Feast with events every week. We also offer catering service for weddings, graduations and corporate events throughout the year.
